Falcon Group has named Bruno Meyer as its new chief risk officer, based in Zurich.

The appointment to the newly-created role will be effective July 1.

Meyer joins with more than 20 years of banking experience from Credit Suisse, where he held various management positions, mainly in risk management and finance. Most recently he was head of risk analytics and communication.

Meyer is also CEO and board member of the Swiss Risk Association.

As a member of Falcon’s executive board, Meyer will report to Walter Berchtold, CEO of Falcon Group, who says: “The appointment of Bruno Meyer, a very senior risk and banking professional, complements our executive board ideally. His appointment is crucial in our strategic repositioning and in further strengthening our compliance and risk framework. We are delighted to welcome Meyer in our team.”

Meyer joins other executive board members: Walter Berchtold, CEO, Urs Zgraggen, CFO, Erich Pfister, global head private banking, and Arthur Vayloyan, global head products and services.
