2016’s Mauritius Trade Finance Conference saw 150 business leaders and trade specialists converge on The Ravenala Attitude in Turtle Bay for a day of discussion and debate.
The Honourable Sudarshan Bhadain, Minister of Financial Services, Good Governance, Institutional Reforms, Government of Mauritius provided the opening keynote address, outlining the country’s strategy as ‘the gateway to Africa’, as policymakers and the corporate sector pursue an ‘Africa agenda’ in collaboration with other partner countries.
Local and international trade institutions, financiers and corporates were all on hand to share their expertise and examine the role the trade finance sector has in further developing the island as a primary trade, distribution and re-export hub.
