South Africa’s Rand Merchant Bank has appointed Cheri Manthe as senior relationship manager in its banks and development finance institutions team.

Manthe will cover developed markets and will oversee all existing products and services.

Manthe previously worked within Barclays’ financial institutions department in London as a director. There she was responsible for the Middle East, North Africa and Levant regions.

Before that, she worked at Barclays Bank in South Africa where she managed the bank’s relationships with financial and non-bank institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Meanwhile, Leané Visser has also joined RMB in the newly-created role of global head of network management. Visser will be responsible for buying transactional banking services for RMB’s global transaction services division.
