Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) has appointed Warren Brown as head of traditional finance.

He will be responsible for both trade product management and traditional trade sales and will report to Minos Gerakaris, head of trade finance.

He has spent almost 20 years in the trade finance business, having begun his career with Standard Bank in 1992. He worked in all areas of international trade processing at Standard Bank, before becoming international trade manager in 2001. He joined Nedbank in 2006, where he managed the global trade specialist team.

Brown says: “I see my main challenge at RMB being the alignment of strategy with all stakeholders across RMB’s entire traditional trade value chain.”
