Helén Seemann has joined SEB as head of product management, trade finance, after 18 years at Sweden’s export credit agency (ECA), EKN.

Based in Stockholm, she reports to Robert Pehrson, head of product management, transactions services. She was most recently head of business area, large corporates, at EKN.

She tells GTR that her responsibility at SEB will be to drive the change agenda for trade finance, together with the rest of the transaction services team. “SEB has a set goal to develop these offerings, which I really am looking forward to be part of. Also over the next couple of years the digitisation agenda will be accelerating and I believe it will be an exciting ride to work with this issue at SEB,” she adds.

This is a return to banking for Seemann, who spent four years at Swedbank before joining EKN in 1998.

“I was part of managing EKN through the financial crisis in 2009/10 but also in pushing the agenda towards increasing interaction with customers to really understand their business needs. After interesting years at EKN I was looking for new opportunities and I am really excited to join SEB,” she says.
