On behalf of our client a growing Corporate Bank based in the city we are looking for an experienced LC Trade Finance person to join their busy Trade Finance department . The main purpose of the role is processing and overseeing issuance, advising and payments of all L/C’s and Trade Finance business.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure understanding and application of processes and procedures within the team including checking, of all l/c and trade finance related transactions.
• Ensure the accuracy, detail and timely processing, booking and recording of all related transactions.
• Responsible at the appropriate level for ensuring all transactions are in accordance with rules and regulations including adherence to relative ICC, URC and URR rules.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with the banks requirements and liaising with the banks counterparties in the relevant risk and audit teams as necessary.
• Checking of monthly reconciliation of all l/c and trade finance liabilities, balancing relative accounts, and daily nostro reconciliation.
• Maintain relationships with the beneficiary’s, FI’s and Corporate client base of the bank in a positive and professional manner.
• May be required to be involved with participations, syndications and back to back l/c’s.

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum 3-4 years Documentary Credits experience
• Good communication and ability to train and guide junior staff
• Good understanding of banking relating to documentary credits Essential
• CDCS or equivalent qualification (desirable)
