An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Trade Finance Team as a Senior Manager, reporting locally to the Associate Director of the Commodities and Global Markets Operations team in the Asia region.
Due to Macquarie’s unique position in the market we are looking for an individual with 15-20 years of experience from within the banking sector but who also has commercial experience. The person will be managing a small team who deal with a variety of products such as oils, metals, iron ore, coal, and various agri based products across global markets with various banking and commercial products.
This person will be able to prepare, review and check the various contract documents associated with the above mentioned products. Whilst having an extensive understanding of Letters of Credit and associated documentation, documentary collections and all while being able to maintain relevant documentation records, invoices and other shipping documents all while liaising with both internal and external clients.
The candidate will also verify transactions booked in the internal trading systems, check payment requests, manage daily customer exposures and limits, monitor financial obligations and resolve issues as they occur. Undertaking all of these tasks with a sound based risk management mindset whilst understanding the importance of controls and procedures in the operations area and product lifecycle.
A thorough knowledge of Swift is required and the various messages associated with Trade Finance. Essential is the knowledge and understanding of INCOTERMS and the various ICC Rules and Regulations relating to L/Cs and Collections.
