HSBC appoints Asia Pacific sales head

HSBC has appointed Mark Troutman as regional head of sales for its global payments and cash management (PCM) business in the Asia Pacific region.

Reporting to John Laurens, regional head of PCM, Troutman will manage the sales of HSBC’s cash management solutions to corporates and financial institutions across the region.

He takes over from Richard Jaggard, who returned to the UK earlier this year. Troutman has been acting regional head of sales for HSBC’s PCM in the region for the last three months, and previously led the bank’s southern Asia regional sales team. He brings over 20 years of experience in working capital and transaction banking advisory services in Asia.

Laurens says: “As Asia continues to be the growth engine of the global economy, cash and liquidity management remains a top priority across the region. With extensive experience in managing sales businesses across diverse portfolios, Mark has successfully led our team in Singapore for the past two years and is committed to meeting the local, regional and global needs of our clients.”

“Mark has been instrumental in the development and success of our regional sales platform, and his client-focused approach is evident across all areas of our business. I am therefore confident he will continue to drive and elevate our engagement with clients to further develop the strong growth we are seeing in the business.”
