Last Updated May 22, 2012

American-based Fifth Third Bank has hired Jan-Erik Andersen as group head of international banking.

He will lead the bank’s international corporate banking and trade finance divisions, which provide products and services to companies and institutions engaged in global business operations.

Before joining Fifth Third, Andersen was the head of origination and client coverage and co-head of wholesale banking in Southeast Asia and the Americas at Standard Chartered Bank.

Greg Kosch, executive vice-president and head of commercial banking at Fifth Third, says: “Jan-Erik, with his wealth of global sales and management experience, is an excellent addition to our international banking team. He brings a great deal of experience in international credit services and relationship management. Jan-Erik has a strong understanding of the unique financial challenges faced by foreign companies and US-based companies doing business overseas to help provide our clients with customised solutions to help meet their business goals."
