HFW names Middle East managing partner

Last Updated June 13, 2012

Law firm Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW) has appointed Hugh Brown as managing partner in its Middle East practice.

Brown will replace Edward Newitt as managing partner of the firm’s Dubai office. Brown was previously a senior admiralty partner and has extensive experience in the shipping sector where he has acted for protection and indemnity clubs and Indian ship owners.

Newitt, who has worked in the Dubai office since its opening in 2006, will return to the firm’s London office and will continue to operate in the Middle East on a regular basis.
