XL adds to German underwriting team

XL Insurance has strengthened its middle market underwriting team in Germany with the appointment of two senior underwriters.

Jean Jacques Rossau joins XL’s Hamburg office as senior casualty underwriter. Rossau has 17 years of experience in the insurance industry and joins from ACE European Group where he worked as a casualty underwriter. He previously held several positions in the casualty department at HDI-Gerling.

Seat Sabani has been appointed as XL’s senior property underwriter. Based in Stuttgart, he will serve clients and brokers in the Baden-Württemberg region of Southern Germany.

Before joining XL, Sabani was with HDI-Gerling for nine years, where he held various administrative and underwriting roles in its property department in Stuttgart.

Michael Harth, XL’s country manager for Germany says: “The strengthening of our team in Hamburg and Stuttgart underscores our strategy to have a regional presence in the German market in order to offer sustainable solutions to our clients. These appointments will allow us to serve many additional middle market clients, partners and brokers in the North and South of the country with greater ease and efficiency.”
