Sace reshuffles global heads

Sace has made a number of appointments to its Italy, Asia Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa offices.

Marina Vettese is now head of Sace’s oil and gas, infrastructure and steel department in its Italy office.

With over 10 years of experience in export and project finance, Vettese was previously in charge of Sace’s Hong Kong office, where she spent three years overseeing the group’s activity in mainland China and South East Asia. Before this, she worked in Sace’s Italy office in the project and structured finance and oil and gas, infrastructure and steel departments.

Michael Creighton has been appointed as head of Sace’s Hong Kong office.

Creighton was previously in charge of Sace’s office in Johannesburg, where he spent the last four years overseeing the group’s activities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Before joining Sace, he served as executive director at Coface South Africa and was also head of its underwriting and claims group.

Finally, Riccardo Fanelli becomes head of Sace’s office in Johannesburg.

Fanelli has 20 years of experience in the export credit insurance business, and previously headed up Sace’s Kenya desk in Nairobi at the African Trade Insurance Agency. Before moving to Africa, he headed the group’s domestic network in Sace’s credit and risk analysis department in Rome.
