Barclays makes new trade appointments

Barclays has made a number of promotions within its trade and working capital product management team in an effort to expand its current business, a spokesperson for the bank tells GTR.

Simon Enticknap has been promoted to the newly-created role of global head of working capital and supply chain finance at Barclays Bank.

Previously head of special projects at Barclays, Enticknap will now be responsible for further developing and driving the bank’s UK supplier finance proposition.

He will report to Ray Zabarte, Barclays global head of trade and working capital product management.

Jim Bidwell has also been promoted to global head of documentary trade products in the bank’s trade and working capital product management team, while also continuing to work as global head of product development.

Additionally, Andrew Charnley will be taking on the newly-created role of global head of open account product from September 3.

Charnley has 20 years of experience in banking and open account finance and has been with Barclays for the last seven years. He is currently a director in the bank’s trade and working capital team reporting to John Bevan, head of trade and working capital for the UK and Ireland.
