India Exim to open Ethiopian office
The Export-Import Bank of India (India Exim) is in negotiations with Ethiopian officials about the opening of an East African office in Addis Ababa.
According to Indian embassy officials, board directors of the bank have already decided to open their East African office in Addis Ababa so as to support Indian companies' growing investment in eastern Africa.
If plans go ahead, this will be the bank’s third office in Africa. The bank has two offices – in Johannesburg and Dakar – responsible for southern and western Africa respectively.
