CBC hires senior vice-president

Last Updated March 28, 2012

Capital Business Credit (CBC) has appointed Steven Fields as senior vice-president for business development.

Fields will lead customer acquisition efforts for asset-based lending, factoring and trade finance programmes in the Midwest of America.

Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Fields will work directly with CBC's chief executive officer, Marc Adelson and executive chairman, Andrew Tananbaum to provide asset-based lending and other financial products to small and mid-sized businesses in the region.

"Steven is experienced in helping businesses of all sizes use asset-based facilities to improve liquidity, drive operational improvement and aid in restructuring," says Adelson.

Fields adds: "CBC is uniquely positioned to provide small and middle market companies with the financial products to meet their business needs. I look forward to working with the company's leadership team to offer their products and expertise to Midwestern companies who are unable to obtain financing through a traditional bank, as well as those who require a customised financial solution."

Fields previously served as a founder and partner of Excel Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on acquiring small to middle-market manufacturing companies. Before that, he spent 15 years at US Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he served in various roles in the company's business credit and structured capital divisions.
