Swift has launched the latest release of its Alliance software, Alliance Lite2, designed to connect customers to the Swift network.
Expanding the capabilities of Alliance Lite, this new, cloud-based Swift connectivity supports much higher message volumes, all Swift message formats and standards and more automation possibilities, at a different price than Alliance Lite.
The new solution, which has been talked about since early 2012, does away with the need to keep Swift equipment onsite. Connection occurs via the internet or a virtual private network.
Bill Wrest, head of business development for non-bank financial institutions at Barclays, comments: "We welcome Alliance Lite2 as a simpler way for customers to connect with us using Swift. In particular, Swift's service offering around Alliance Lite2 will make on-boarding easier – so our customers can benefit from our services even faster."
