Turkish importer gets JBIC backing

Turkish industrial importer and retailer Enka Pazarlama has signed a ¥15bn (US$195mn) loan with the help of Asian banks and export credit agencies (ECAs) to purchase and export construction machinery from Japan.

The loan is partially provided by Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), of which a portion is insured by Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (Nexi). The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) contributed ¥7.5bn to the overall funds.

Based in Istanbul, Enka Pazarlama is a regional enterprise importing and selling construction equipment and other industrial machinery.
