Hinduja bank adds five to commodities team

The Swiss-based financial arm of the Hinduja Group has hired five senior relationship managers within its commodity trade finance team.

The move is in line with Hinduja’s ongoing strategy to enhance and strengthen its trade finance services, especially in the emerging market sectors, the bank tells GTR.

The new appointments will start at the bank in June and July this year and are believed to be joining from five major trade finance banks in Geneva.

The new team’s specific product expertise include soft commodities, metals, petroleum products, while their specific market expertise include Brazil, South America, Sub-Saharan African markets, Middle East and Europe.

“The management of the bank is confident that the new team represents a major step in the overall development of our trade finance activity, which after wealth management is our second pillar of business. The arrival of new senior experts will greatly enhance revenue generation, client and product diversification, and associated processes and controls,” says Charles de Boissezon, chief executive officer of Hinduja Bank, Switzerland.
