Flash launches new export compliance software

Last Updated May 10, 2010

Supply chain solutions provider Flash Global Logistics has launched an export compliance programme, its newest software to aid export procedures.

The programme, which is fully integrated with Flashtrac, the company’s existing online order and inventory management system, is designed to automate export control classification, denied party screening, number license control checks, commercial invoice preparation and automated export system filling.

With just under 70 current denied party lists for cross-border shipments in the US, the automation of screening these lists is described by Denis Moniz, vice-president of business technology at Flash, as “substantial”.

Jim van Leenen, president and chief executive officer at Flash, adds: “Compliance with US law is non-negotiable, companies that ship out of [the] country must recognise potential risk regulations associated with exporting.”
