EFIC begins online initiative for Australian businesses

Last Updated May 10, 2010

Australia’s Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC) has begun a new online initiative called the Export Finance Navigator.

EFIC, Australia’s export credit agency, designed the website to help exporters discover export finance tools provided in the commercial market and to highlight possible grants and tax concessions available to exporters from federal, state and territory governments.

Angus Armour, chief executive office and managing director of EFIC, says: “Being better informed about their export finance options will help give Australian businesses operating in overseas markets a more solid financial foundation and contribute to their continue international success.”

This comes after a 2008 report, called the Mortimer report, which revealed that a common problem for new Australian exporters and businesses investing overseas was a lack of understanding about the financial products available and where to obtain finance.
