Chinese group benefits from JBIC support
The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has further established its support for eco projects by signing a memorandum of understanding with a Chinese environmental group.
China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) signed the memorandum with JBIC to cooperate in eco-friendly schemes, including exchanging information between the two groups on projects which both Japanese and Chinese businesses can participate in.
CECEP was established in 1988 as China’s first company for investing and operating environmental protection and energy-saving projects, mainly in domestic initiatives.
This comes at the same time as JBIC signed an agreement with China’s Tianjin municipality to promote Japanese firms’ involvement with green projects there.
