A new guide on trade credit and supply chain finance has been published. It aims to improve understanding of trade credit issues in the market, particularly as in the current climate the availability and cost of capital within a buyer-supplier supply chain is very challenged, especially for non-rated and non investment grade corporates.
The guide has been published by Global Business Intelligence, and president of the group, David Gustin, comments: “Corporates need to better understand the issues around trade credit as the need to inject capital or increase capital into their supply chain continues to evolve, especially as the corporate business model becomes more globally distributed.
“Even in this current liquidity and credit climate, the good news is that most companies have substantial potential to improve their working capital management and suboptimal practices by implementing industry leading supply chain solutions."
The guide provides coverage of import and export solutions, legal issues, CFO/treasurer evaluations, and an overview of the challenges.
