China Systems closes deal with First City Monument Bank

Last Updated September 02, 2008

Trade services solutions provider China Systems has added First City Monument Bank (FCMB) in Nigeria to its list of clients for its J2EE-based trade services enterprise solutions.

China Systems’ Enterprise solution is an established global standard that can be installed by international banks to meet their trade services processing requirements. This combines a rapid application development toolkit with a flexible base business model, providing support for traditional trade, open account, supply chain finance, and payments operations.

FCMB is the first bank established without government support in Nigeria. It was a leading merchant bank until 2001 when it became a universal bank, opening up to retail clients.  The bank accounts for over 2% of total assets in the banking industry and has over 130 branches across Nigeria.
