JLT appoints Asia risk director

Last Updated May 15, 2008
Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) has appointed Matthew Strong as director, capital risks, Asia, reinforcing the firm's commitment to the Asian market and reflecting the growing importance of evaluating political, credit and security risk surrounding foreign investment and trade against a backdrop of heightened challenges.

Strong, will be based in Singapore and closely affiliated with the teams in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Sydney, will aim to strengthen JLT's existing relationships in the region and enhance the risk analysis capabilities of corporate clients.

"With over fifteen years broking insurance and having worked on some of the most significant assignments within this area of the market, Matthew's move from London to Singapore marks a significant milestone for the business," comments Nick Robson, head of credit, political and security risk, Jardine Lloyd Thompson.
