HSBC appoints Tan to new role

Last Updated May 12, 2008
HSBC has announced that Sharon Tan has been appointed to the new role of senior vice president structured trade finance, trade and supply chain.

Tan, based in Singapore, joins from Standard Chartered Bank and will be tasked with deal origination, expanding HSBC's structured trade finance business and the strategic execution of growth initiatives in Singapore and Asia Pacific. In her last post, Tan completed several structured trade finance deals and she brings extensive experience in risk analysis and client relationship management across south east Asia, as well as experience in a range of commodities to her new role.

"Sharon's proven track record of strong revenue growth and experience in a range of commodities will be invaluable in contributing to the further expansion of the bank's trade and supply chain business in Singapore and the region,” comments Michael Lim, head of structured trade finance, Asia Pacific.
