Gazpromneft mandates for syndication

Russian oil companyGazpromneft has mandated BBVA, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (BTMU), Barclays Capital, SMBC and WestLB as bookrunners and initial mandated lead arrangers on a US$1bn dual-tranche syndicated loan facility.

The funds will be used for general corporate purposes, and the refinancing of existing debt.
The facility has been fully underwritten by the IMLAs and it was signed on May 23. General syndication is due to launch imminently.

Gazpromneft is a vertically integrated Russian oil company, with business activities covering oil production, refining and the marketing of petroleum products. It is the fifth largest oil company in Russia measured by oil production.
