The annual meeting of the International Credit Insurance and Surety Association (ICISA) is being held in Vienna, Austria between 28 and 31 May. The event is being hosted by ICISA members Coface Austria and Prisma.
It is the association's 66th annual meeting, and the ICISA will be celebrating its 80th anniversary.
The conference is to cover issues including the effects of the credit crisis, globalisation, commodities, and climate change, as well as the role of hedge funds and CDS providers. Dr Herbert Stepic, CEO of Raiffeisen International, has been invited as the conference's key speaker.
The results from a multi-year industry-wide study aimed at objectively determine the probable maximum loss (PML) for credit insurance are also set to be presented to delegates.
Representatives from the Berne Union, the Pan-American Surety Association (PASA), the Surety & Fidelity Association of America (SFAA) and the Federation of Business Information Services (FEBIS) will also be taking part in the meetings.
Members of ICISA are the world’s leading credit insurance and surety insurers and reinsurers. They represent over 95% of the global credit insurance industry, and in 2007 the ICISA members insured over US$2bn in trade receivables.
