GMAC hires head of syndications

GMAC Commercial Finance has hired Greg Mathis as managing director, head of syndications within its structured finance division. He will be based in the company's New York office.

Mathis moves to Gmac from Merrill Lynch Capital where he was responsible for syndicating middle market leveraged cash flow and asset-based transactions. He has over 20 years in leveraged lending.

GMAC's structured finance division provides specialised financing to middle-market companies in North America.
