Citi makes Asia Pacific GTS appointment

Akash Rathke has been appointed as Citi's new regional head of bank services and the public sector, within the bank's global transaction services unit, based in Hong Kong.

The position has been newly created, and Rathke’s role will involve working on structuring financing solutions for clients, as well has holding responsibility for the bank’s public sector division in Asia Pacific.

Rathke will be reporting to Anthony Nappi, managing director and regional head for Asia Pacific, global transaction services at Citi.

Before taking up his new role, he worked in a number of senior positions and has over 16 years of experience at the bank. His most recent role was Citi’s Asia-Pacific global payments and financial institutions head in Hong Kong. He has also worked in the bank’s GTS India’s team, in various roles including country sales head and country cash and trade head.
