Turkey’s Enka wins Japanese funds

Last Updated July 21, 2008

Enka Pazarlama, an arm of the construction company Enka, has secured buyer’s credit agreements totalling up to ¥10bn from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and the Tokyo branch of ABN Amro.

The funds are being granted to both Enka Pazarlama, the construction machinery, equipment, heavy vehicles and power systems arm of the Turkish group, and its subsidiary Metra Akdeniz Dis Ticaret.
This facility is a follow-on from two credit lines worth ¥14bn in September 2005 and March 2007.
The new credit line will provide financing support the Turkish companies’ imports from Japanese firms.
