VTB opens Kazakh office

VTB has opened a representative office in Almaty in Kazakhstan, in an effort to expand its net of subsidiaries throughout the CIS.


Through the new office, the bank will work to increase the volume and effectiveness of credit and settlement services, as well as increase the level of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan.


VTB intends to create a subsidiary bank in Kazakhstan in the near future. It has another representative office in Kyrgyz Republic, and has started to registration process of a subsidiary in the capital of Bishkek, which is expected to be completed in 2008.
