Misys and Petra partner on payment integration

Last Updated February 28, 2008
Application software and services company Misys has launched a new solution within Misys payments, its integrated payments portfolio.

The product is called Misys Customer Payment Initiation and has been created in conjunction with Petra Financial. Petra has added its front-end application, known as Touchstone, to Misys' portfolio.

Touchstone is an intuitive java-based front-end application used at both bank branch and customer levels to capture, validate and route payment instructions.

"One of the key issues that banks face is how to improve the speed and accuracy with which a payment is generated and routed,” states Barry Kislingbury, global product manager, Misys Banking.

“This directly affects the quality of the service that banks can offer their customers. Petra Financial has the best front-end application in the market and we are pleased that it will add value in our payments offering to our customers.”

The Customer Payments Initiation solution can be licensed as a standalone product or as part of the integrated Misys Payments solution.

Misys Message Manager's J2EE thin-client messaging infrastructure will support the fully-integrated solution, allowing banks to automate the processing of all types of payments on a single platform. The aim of this is to ensure banks can control costs, decrease risk and improve operational efficiency.
