Fortis appoints energy, commodities and transport CEO
Harris Antoniou has been appointed as CEO of energy, commodities and transportation, as well as a member of the board of merchant banking.
Antoniou replaces Frans van Lanschot who has become CEO of specialised finance within Fortis.
Before his appointment, Antoniou was managing director of Fortis's transportation group, after having held the position of managing director of the bank's transportation group.
Previously he held the role of managing director of the global shipping group.
Energy, commodities and transportation (ECT) is considered a high-growth business line within the merchant banking division.
