New President for Argentine Export and Investment Bank
Miguel Gustavo Peirano, a former economy minister in Argentina, has been appointed president of state-controlled Banco de Inversin y Comercio Exterior, known locally as BICE.
BICE disbursed 1.36bn pesos (US$430mn) between 2005 and 2007. It has been said that Peirano will seek fresh funding from the Inter-American Development Bank and Corporacin Andina de Fomento.
