EBRD lends additional support to Bosnian micro-firms

Last Updated April 04, 2008

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has lent € 6mn to MikroKreditna Organizacija (EKI), a microfinance institution in

  • Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The loan will be used by EKI to on-lend finance to entrepreneurs, and it is part of the EBRD’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprises finance framework for the western Balkans and Croatia.

The bank first extended a loan to EKI under this framework in September 2006.
