Dresdner to open in Mumbai
Dresdner Bank is set to open its first Indian branch in Mumbai after being granted a corresponding licence by the Indian Central Bank. The bank has already had some presence in the country, with a representative office in the Indian capital.
The branch is set to be the first step in Dresdner's plans to expand its private client business.
"India is a booming market with enormous customer potential. That's why it is essential for us to expand our presence in this region,” comments Herbert Walter, chairman of the board of managing directors of Dresdner Bank.
