Jérôme Frizé has been named global head of financial institutions at UniCredit.

He reports to the co-heads of corporate investment banking, Gianfranco Bisagni and Olivier Khayat, and replaces Vincenzo Totorici, who has left the bank.

Based in Milan, Frizé has been working for UniCredit since 2013, when he joined from Dresdner Kleinworth, where he was head of financial institutions, France. Prior to this, he worked for RBS and spent 18 years with the various instances of ABN Amro.

In a joint statement, Bisagni and Khayat say: “[Frizé’s]… expertise and successful track-record in serving financial institutions will be a key asset as we further strengthen the financial institutions group’s role as a major contributor to a fully-plugged in and client-focused bank.”
