Société Générale has appointed Sylvie Leclercq as managing director, head of export finance for Hong Kong.

Joining in October from the bank’s project export finance team in Paris, Leclercq reports to Odile de Saivre, head of the Paris team, and Sadia Ricke, head of global finance for Asia Pacific.

As part of her responsibilities, Leclercq works closely with SocGen’s worldwide export finance network, export credit agencies (ECAs) and multilateral agencies and supports project financing in the region.

In her 20 years of experience in the industry, she has been involved in arranging major oil and gas, power, mining and telecom projects in emerging and developed countries, such as the Tehri hydropower complex in India, Roy Hill iron ore project in Australia and Nghi Son refinery project in Vietnam. In recent years, she was particularly involved in executing advisory mandates for landmark projects in Asia Pacific and Central Asia.
