Anil Berry is to leave his role at Euler Hermes in Hong Kong to take up a new role in Paris, as the trade credit insurer announces a series of senior moves.

Berry is currently director of market management, commercial and distribution (MMCD) for Asia Pacific, and will continue in that role, but with a global remit from Paris.

He has been working with Euler Hermes since 1997, when he joined the UK division as a commercial underwriter. Since then he has held a number of senior positions, most notably the CEO for the GCC region, before his move to Hong Kong in 2012.

Berry replaces Valerio Perinelli, who will move to London to become the company’s UK CEO, reporting into Ludovic Senecaut, head of Northern Europe. Perinelli, in turn, takes the role of Gerard van Kaathoven, who is moving to the Netherlands to head up the group projects division.

Meanwhile Berry will be replaced in Hong Kong by Gordon Cessford, who has joined from Coface, where he has been chief commercial offier since 2011. Cssford has a banking background, working previously for Standard Chartered and the Bank of New York. Cessford will report to Fabrice Desnos, head of region for Euler Hermes Asia Pacific.

All of these moves will take effect on July 1.
