Kini expands role at Deutsche Bank China

Mahesh Kini is the new head of global transaction banking, China at Deutsche Bank.

He will combine this with his existing role as head of trade finance and cash management for the country, which he took up in September last year. Under his remit will be investor services, issuer services, institutional cash management, trade finance and cash management.

Based in Beijing, he will report to China chief country officer Feng Gao, Lisa Robins, Asia Pacific head of global transaction banking, and Kaushik Shaparia, who heads trade finance and cash management for the region.

Feng Gao says: “The China market is of strategic importance to Deutsche Bank and we are committed to offering a comprehensive suite of corporate and investment banking products that meet the needs of our Chinese and multinational clients. Mahesh’s appointment will enhance connectivity within global transaction banking and I am confident that he will help to grow this business.”

Robins added: “We are delighted to see Mahesh taking on this additional role. Mahesh is an experienced and senior business leader, whose product knowledge and expertise in the region will ensure the team in China and he succeed.”
