DBS Bank has appointed Lim Him Chuan as global head of product management for Global Transaction Services (GTS).

In his new role, Him Chuan will oversee the strategic development, governance and profitability of the bank’s cash management, documentary trade and open account trade finance products and services. He moves from the bank’s Institutional Banking Group, where he was COO. In that role, he had been leading and driving numerous operational, customer experience and risk initiatives within the business. Before that, he was the head of DBS’ Group Audit department.

Him Chuan will be taking over from Lum Yin Fong, who becomes GTS’ global head of client management and implementation. In her newly created role, she will focus on building the bank’s client management and implementation capabilities across the franchise.

“Building the transaction banking business is one of the bank’s strategic priorities and GTS has enjoyed broad-based growth in the past few years,” says John Laurens, head of GTS. “We are very pleased to have Him Chuan on our team as we continue on our journey of making transaction banking a key growth driver of the bank. Yin Fong has been instrumental in the growth and development of the GTS franchise the past few years and we are delighted to have her take on this new leadership role.”
