ABN Amro has made two appointments within its energy, commodities & transportation (ECT) clients business: Rui Florencio has been named global head of metals commodities clients and Friso Koopmans (pictured) has been named global head of energy commodities clients.

Florencio has been part of the bank’s ECT commodities clients’ team for 15 years in different roles, including his previous role as global head of energy commodities clients. Koopmans joined the bank in 2001 and has fulfilled various roles within ABN Amro in general and ECT commodities clients in particular, most recently as head of risk & portfolio management commodities Netherlands.

Jan-Maarten Mulder, global head of ECT commodities clients, says that “both Rui and Friso are highly valued for their strong commodity sector experience and commitment”.
