GTR is calling everyone involved in the trade finance market to vote in our annual Leaders in Trade awards.

We need banks, insurers, law firms, government bodies and customers engaged in cross-border trade activities to tell us which financial institutions are the best internationally. Which bank offers the quickest service? Which bank has the best local market knowledge? Which institution has proven to be the most reliable?

The awards are divided into a number of categories and geographies – for each answer you give we ask that you give a reason why you have come to that particular decision. For example: “Bank X”; Reason: “Because of their reputation for professionalism/ease of doing business/good pricing/willingness to provide financing”, etc. However, please note that the “best” financial institutions do not necessarily need to have conducted the biggest deal or have the highest volume of trade finance business.

There’s no need to provide answers for countries/sectors that you are not familiar with. All votes will remain strictly confidential. You are not allowed to vote for your own financial institution – these votes will be disqualified.

Voting is now open and closes on November 16, 2015, with publication of the results in the Jan/Feb 2016 issue of GTR.

If you have any questions about the awards and the voting procedure, please contact Shannon Manders, editor, GTR.
