Angela Martins has been chosen to head National Bank of Abu Dhabi’s (NBAD) trade finance activities in Latin America.

Starting in February 2013, she will start up the representative office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, which will cover all Latin American countries, under the title of senior representative and country manager for Latin America.

She joins NBAD from Banco Pine, where she was managing director of the international division, in charge of trade finance, capital markets, sales and distribution, since April 2011.

She was previously director of the international division at Banco ABC Brasil, a subsidiary of the Arab Banking Corporation, for 15 years.

Martins also has experience at the Bank of The State of São Paulo and Banco Dibens, handling a number or responsibilities among which credit, loans and foreign exchange departments.

She is member of the foreign affairs committee at the Federation of Brazilian Banks as well as the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance, and the Women Corporate Directors.
